With a student-to-faculty ratio of 12:1, all students have an opportunity to know their professors personally and to take advantage of mentoring relationships. This faculty commitment, combined with a rigorous curriculum, creates a quality academic experience that serves Grand View alumni well.

“Grand View prepared me well for my career because it offered me a General Studies Liberal Arts education and based its curriculum on reading and writing. The classes were competitive, just as they are now that I’m at The University of Tulsa Law School. The most important aspect of law school is being able to write well. I used my talents tutoring in the Grand View Writing Center and strengthened my critical thinking and writing skills in discussion-oriented classes. My internship at a law firm during the summer gave me a ‘taste’ of what my future holds.”

Grand View offers 35 majors leading to a bachelor’s degree. Most academic departments have close relationships with the employers in central Iowa, through Advisory Councils, internship programs and consultation, so Grand View’s programs have a real-world perspective you can use on your very first job after graduation. Although our largest concentrations are in business administration, nursing, and education, many smaller programs have outstanding reputations for excellence. For example, our graphic design programs win awards across the Midwest, and our pre-professional programs are highly regarded among graduate and professional schools.
