Britton, Perry, and Rohrs Earn NAIA All-America Scholar-Athlete Honors
5/29/08- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2008 Daktronics-NAIA Baseball Scholar-Athletes. The award is handed out annually to the most outstanding student-athletes in the NAIA. The program recognizes excellence in the classroom while competing in the sport of baseball. Athletes of junior or senior standing that maintain a GPA of 3.5 or above are eligible for the award.

The Grand View baseball program was represented by three NAIA All-America Scholar Athletes. Kyle Britton, Brian Perry, and Danny Rohrs all earned honors. Complete Release

Five Vikings Named to MCC All-Conference Team
5/7/08 - The Midwest Collegiate Conference announced its 2008 baseball all-conference honors. Thirty-five athetes were recognized as part of the all-conference teams as voted by the coaches; seventeen to the First Team and eighteen to the Honorable Mention Team.

Five Grand View players earned All-MCC recognition. Sophomore outfielder Cory Burnes (Tama, Ia.) and junior catcher Brian Perry (Shoreline, Wash.) were voted to the MCC First Team. Heath Stein (Portsmouth, Ia.), Bobby Habeger (Carnelian Bay, Calif.), and pitcher Kyle Britton (Le Mars, Ia.) ) earned Honorable Mention honors.   Complete Release

Habeger Earns MCC Weekly Honor
4/22/08- Grand View senior infielder Bobby Habeger (Carnelian Bay, Calif.) has been selected as the Midwest Collegiate Conference Baseball Player of the Week announced today. Last week, the Vikings went 5-0 behind Habeger who hit .571 with 16 hits, 12 runs, 4 doubles, a triple, 2 home runs, and 16 RBIs.
