The Grand View teacher education program is approved by the Iowa Department of Education.
The baccalaureate degree in nursing/master's degree in nursing at Grand View University is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, One Dupont Circle, NW, Suite 530, Washington, DC 20036, 202-887-6791. In March of 2011 the program was fully accredited for ten years by CCNE, which is an autonomous accrediting agency that ensures the quality and integrity of baccalaureate, graduate, and residency programs in nursing. CCNE is officially recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education as a national accreditation agency and is the accrediting body for most of the nursing programs in the US. Grand View was initially accredited by this body in 2001.
Grand View’s nursing program has been continuously accredited since 1976, with prior accreditation by the National League for Nursing (NLN), and continuously approved by the Iowa Board of Nursing (IBON) . In the fall of 2010 the program was awarded full six-year approval by the IBON, with provisional status in the spring of 2012. The programs's first quarter 2013 NCLEX-RN pass rate was 95.24%.
