View Crew

The View Crew works with new students to ease the transition to Grand View and to help them get used to their new home away from home. Crew members lead campus tours and keep in close touch with new students in case they have questions or concerns.

Emily Blum
My name is Emily Blum and I’m a junior nursing major.  I’m from Glenwood, Iowa, and I’m involved in View Crew, Team GV, and Peer Ministries.  I enjoy running and traveling and I’m determined to visit every state in the United States.  I am more than happy to answer any questions.  Hope you enjoy Grand View!

Nate Botts
Hey! My name is Nate Botts and I’m from Pleasant Hill, Iowa.  I’m a senior majoring in business finance and human resources.  I’m involved in View Crew, Student Leadership Team, and Team GV.  When I’m not busy working, you can find me hanging with friends or taking my dog, Blazer, for a walk.  An interesting fact about myself is that I’m afraid of heights – anything over 10 feet tall freaks me out!  Welcome to Grand View – I hope you love it just as much as I do!

Grant Christian
My name is Grant Christian and I’m a junior majoring in communication and broadcasting.  Grand View has paved the way for me to find my true passion in journalism and broadcasting.  Someday I plan to become a news anchor for one of the leading networks!  Since transferring to GV, I’ve felt right at home – the welcoming environment, caring faculty, and friends I have made has made falling in love with Grand View that much easier.  I’m a member of the Student Activity Council and View Crew.  My goal for this year is to make your experience even better than my own.  I truly look forward to getting to know each and every one of you.  Welcome to Grand View!

Meghan Gerke
Hi! My name is Meghan Gerke.  I’m a sophomore studying photography and graphic journalism.  I’m a Team GV member and a deputy art director for the new magazine starting in the spring 2016.  I don’t play sports but I do photograph almost every home athletic event.  When I’m not shooting sports, I am binge-watching "Friends" on Netflix or daydreaming about being a Disney princess.  Welcome to GV!

Grant Henderson
Hi, I'm Grant Henderson, a junior majoring in criminal justice with a minor in coaching.  I’m a member of the GV wrestling team and View Crew.  Interesting fact about me: I have quite the wrestling shoe collection (weird, I know, unless you wrestle!).  I like riding my motorcycle, playing Frisbee golf and Ultimate Frisbee, fishing, boating, anything to do being outside and taking long walks on the beach – ha!  My goal is to be a head coach for a college wrestling program.  Don’t be afraid to say hi!

Dani Hubbard
Hi, my name is Dani Hubbard and my hometown is Van Meter, Iowa.  I'm a senior public relations major and I'm on the softball team.  I love hanging out with my friends and singing to any and every Bruno Mars song.  My future goal is to win the lottery and travel the world – ha!  But if that doesn't happen, I would love to work in PR for an MLB team.  I look forward to meeting and getting to know each of you.
