Teacher/Driver's Ed Endorsements

Teacher Academy

Grand View's summer Teacher Academy for Endorsements is designed for licensed teachers. Classes are scheduled within convenient two-week sessions offered during June and July. You may attend one, two, three or all four of the Academy sessions.

Academy courses are affordable at $342 per credit hour. Payment must be made by the first class day.

Application/Registration Process
1. Complete the CPAL application and fax a copy of your current teaching license to 515-263-2974, Attn. Admissions.
2. Request official transcripts from all colleges you've attended to be sent directly to Grand View University.
3. Once you have been admitted to Grand View, your enrollment counselor will contact you and register you for your courses.

Behind-the-Wheel (BTW) and Driver Education Certification

Students who successfully complete Driver Education I and II may be certified to teach the Behind-the-Wheel (BTW) component of Driver Education.  An Iowa teaching license is not needed to earn the BTW authorization.  If you are an Iowa licensed teacher, you can earn the Driver and Safety Education 7-12 Endorsement #118 by successfully completing Driver Education I and II and Traffic Safety and Accident Prevention.
