Job Description:
Answer phones and assist customers with service questions and placing work orders. Route calls to appropriate departments. Handle irate callers in a professional manner. Also answering follow up questions regarding service. Assist with in-shops or warranty jobs that are brought in and tagged. Assist technicians by looking up history, generating tickets, looking up part info, etc. Assist with dispatching as far as giving technician the info for next call, starting and ending ticket on dispatch board, etc. using the radio or over the phone. Use good judgment and exercise tact and discretion in frequent public and intra company dealings. Use a personal computer and operate VMS software, as well as other software as needed (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) Operate office machines such as a fax, copier, calculator, telephone, etc. Physically perform job functions. Requires sitting for prolonged periods of time, some standing, walking, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, and climbing Additional Duties: Participate in Service Department training and meetings as appropriate. Sorts and distributes the mail. Maintains parts inventory as needed. Assist Service/Branch/Regional Manager as needed Misc clerical jobs: typing bids, proposals, letters, and estimates, filing, and faxing Read and follow company procedure manual and safety rules Cross training of other positions as needed for coverage. Other duties as assigned .
Job Qualifications:
High school Diploma or GED. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Experience in operating computer software programs and basic office equipment. Data entry experience. Good typing skills. Customer service experience. Mature personality, ability to work with customers, vendors, and co-workers in a courteous and tactful manner to resolve problems. Ability to work independently or as a team player. The ability to concentrate, handle pressure, meet deadlines, and pay attention to detail Excellent verbal and communication skills required. Good organizational skills. Motivated, outgoing, self-starter. Able to follow through on duties and assignments with minimal supervision. Good grammar, voice and diction.Excellent time management skills, the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects. Maintain professional apearance/demeanor in the office. Maintain positive attitude under stress.
