Supported Community Living Instructor Supported Community Living Instructors: Under the general supervision of the Service Coordinator, the Supported Community Living Instructor provides direct instruction to CANDEO clients with Intellectual Disabilities. Functions independently within the constraints of organizational policy and procedure to assure that clients receive the highest quality services possible. Direction and guidance are available from the Service Coordinator. Supported Community Living Instructors support our clients with independent living skills such as cooking, cleaning, and getting out into the community! FULL-TIME, PART-TIME, AND CASUAL OPPORTUNITITIES AVAILABLE! CANDEO OFFERS NEW HIGHER WAGES!!! $10.75/HOUR AND FULL-TIME BENEFITS WITH FULL-TIME Enjoy a great work-life balance with our new set schedules! Work schedules will be within AM (6am-2pm), PM (2PM-10PM), and Overnight (9pm-8:30am) shift time periods.
Job Qualifications:
Qualifications include: ? High School Diploma or GED ? Strong leadership skills ? Preferred experience with Intellectual Disability, Mental Health Diagnoses and/or Brain Injury ? Ability to encourage client to access community resources ? Excellent teaching and motivation skills ? Good communication skills at all levels, including clients, guardians, and staff. ? Ability to develop rapport and trust with clients All applicants must be able to pass an extensive background check including a criminal history check and checks of the Sex Offender and Dependent Adult and Child Abuse Registries. All applicants must possess a good driving record, a working vehicle and auto insurance. All applicants will be required to attend 5 consecutive, full days of training prior to working at Candeo.
