Job Description:
Respond to high-speed and phone service related calls. Assist current and future high-speed and phone customers by answering questions related to service, pricing and configurations. Assist current high-speed and phone customers with service-related problems including hardware and software configurations. Primary contact, residential.
Job Qualifications:
Answer questions regarding service features, options and pricing. • Walk customers through common hardware and software configurations to maximize product functionality. • Troubleshoot basic network and modem functionality. • Answer questions regarding use of service with various hardware and software platforms. • Schedule on-site service calls when necessary. • Escalate appropriate technical issues to Internet Technical Support Associate group. • All other duties as required or assigned. Preferred Experience/Skills: • High School Diploma or equivalent. • Successful completion of CSG and Cable Modem training programs. • Cable industry experience preferred. • Internet experience required. • Experience with high-speed cable modem service preferred. • Experience with common internet software including Netscape Communicator, MS Internet Explorer, MS Outlook and MS Outlook Express preferred. • Must be a flexible, independent, self-motivated problem solver who can consistently work and enjoy a fast pace. • Must be able to work under strict guidelines. • At least 6 months of customer service experience. • Microsoft Office experience a plus. • Strong organizational skills. • Strong communication skills in a professional atmosphere. • Ability to work flexible hours including, evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime as required
