Job Description:
The experience of a lifetime awaits you as a member of AMERICORPS NCCC – a full time, residential, national service program in which 1,200 18-24 year-olds serve each year. For 10 months, members work in teams of 8-12 on community outreach projects, usually lasting 6-8 weeks each, in the areas of natural and other disasters, environment, energy conservation, infrastructure improvement and urban and rural development. In exchange for their service, members receive a $5,550 education award, room and board, a modest living stipend, leadership development, and the knowledge that through active citizenship, people can indeed make a difference.
