Iowa Bankers Association is looking for a Programmer to join our Information Technology Department. The Programmer will work to meet the needs of the Iowa Bankers Association, Iowa Bankers Mortgage Corporation, and Iowa Bankers Insurance and Services. To learn more about our organization, please visit www.iowabankers.com We are seeking candidates who are self motivated, learn quickly, have good communications skills, and are able to complete both Windows and Web development projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Write and edit code written in C# / ASP.NET • Develop and maintain database driven web pages • Must have knowledge of SQL queries and database development • Modify and implement applications from provided specifications • Gather user requirements, perform program design and analysis • Cleary document modified or developed applications • Effectively communicate with users across the company
Job Qualifications:
Qualifications Knowledge of an object oriented language and experience with web page development is essential. Basic database and SQL skills would be a plus. Experience with networking, computer hardware, Windows and Microsoft Office products would be helpful. Candidates for this position must enjoy working on a variety of projects, be able to work independently and have strong attention to detail. The strongest candidates for this position will be knowledgeable in using Microsoft SQL Server, C#, and/or ASP.NET. Education/Experience -Degree in Computer Science or MIS. -Preference will be given to those who have had previous jobs/experience in IT. -Previous experience with databases, application and web development is ideal. -Minimum 3.0 GPA -US Citizen or Permanent Resident Skills • Programming knowledge • Database programming knowledge • Excellent written and verbal communication • Ability to multitask
