Job Description:
• Generate placement opportunities utilizing existing contacts and generating new business contacts. • Assist clients in seeking accommodations on the job. Including but not limited to on-site job analysis, consultations and recommendations for job-site modification when appropriate. • Develop relationships with community businesses to facilitate employment opportunities for clients. • Provide educational and training sessions for businesses as needed. • Contact businesses weekly to develop community opportunities for clients. • Be active in professional development/networking groups. • Provide on-the-job support and follow-along support as needed by clients and businesses. • Counsel and/or train clients regarding the techniques for obtaining and maintaining employment. • Communicate with funding sources, parents, guardians, and other team members. May attend and provide input into client staffings as needed. • Assist in referring to benefits counseling to identify how wages will affect current benefits. • Write and implement vocational goals for clients. • Track development activities. • Monitor each client’s progression toward outcome/goal achievement, including documentation of client’s activities. • Complete required written reports and paper work necessary for per regulatory standards. • Work within the constraints of a team budget. • Provide client support as needed by other team members. • Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in human services, business, marketing or related field or two years experience in related filed • Experience with presentations, sales or job development preferred. • Ability to work in a team environment. • Ability to communicate effectively in written or verbal formats • Ability to make cold calls and be self motivated. • Ability to operate a computer and navigate through Easter Seals database. Experience in word processing software; Word and Excel preferred • Ability to work with a variety of people, with and without disabilities • Ability to bend, stoop, twist and lift • Ability to transfer or move a minimum of 80 pounds. • Have reliable transportation for work-related travel. • Insurable under Easter Seals vehicle insurance policy • Certified in CPR, First Aid and Relational Mandt training (or ability to obtain certification) within first 90 days. • Ability to successfully complete Mandatory Reporter training within first 30 days. • Ability to work non-traditional hours as required, including weekends and evenings. • Access to telephone for on-call system.
