Job Description:
The Sr. HR Generalist will be the onsite administrator for all employee benefits, including but not limited to health, disability, FSA, FMLA, ADA, Worker’s Compensation, etc. Concordia University partners with Concordia Plans Services to provide a full benefit package offering to eligible employees and their dependents, which includes full administration support for health, life and disability benefits.
Job Qualifications:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Responsible for employee relations for University employees. • Provide assistance to supervisors in facilitating a positive discipline process, including dispute resolution, and counseling for employees and supervisors. • Responsible for coordination and follow-through for a full cycle termination process (voluntary/involuntary), including attendance at termination meetings, if needed. • Work with the HR Manager, as needed, to support coordination of legal and EEOC issues. • Remain current on all University, State and Federal laws and regulations relating to these areas of responsibility. • Responsible for policy and handbook updates, acknowledgements, and annual reporting to external agencies as it relates to HR. • Provide oversight for employee events coordinated through the HR Department such as the Annual Employee Appreciation Luncheon. Required Education & Experience • Dynamic, experienced Sr. HR Generalist with benefits administration and full cycle employee relations experience to join our team. • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field required • Certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) is a plus. • Three years of experience in the above mentioned areas. • Training or education in these areas will be considered.
