Job Description:
Des Moines Public Schools (DMPS) AmeriCorps Program is currently recruiting half-time service members. There are 3 different components to this program that align to ultimately support school district initiatives to increase graduation rates and decrease dropout rates. AmeriCorps is a national service program committed to meeting the needs of our communities. AmeriCorps members receive a living allowance and may qualify for student loan forbearance during their term of service. After successfully completing an AmeriCorps term of service, members are eligible to receive a Segal AmeriCorps Education Award.
