Job Description:
General Summary: Responsible for developing new business opportunities for the Internet Sales department from internet leads, emails and to inform current / prospective customers about Karl Chevrolet Products and Services. Essential Functions: • Looking up and handing out leads from various sources. • Contact customers from using manifest lists of previous and/or prospective customers. • Update customer notes and status. • Set appointments with customers for sales consultants. • Update the BDC Calling Log. • Email Internet Managers BDC Call log at the end of business daily. • Establish a close working relationship with all departments to best represent them to prospective customers. • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill. • Communicate with others in a courteous and helpful manner. • Protect confidentiality of all dealer information. • Perform duties as a team member in a manner supportive of department and dealer procedures, policies and goals. • Demonstrate commitment to the Karl Way customer service philosophy. Establish effective relationships with internal and external customers and respond to their needs. • Other duties as assigned by the Internet Team Leaders. Principal Working Relationship: • Internet Team Leaders, Sales Managers and Internet Sales Consultants. • Prospective customers and selected organizations in Ankeny and the greater Des Moines Metro Area. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • The ability to become knowledgeable of all aspects of Karl Chevrolet which include the following vehicle programs, services, facilities and dealership culture. • Must be knowledgeable of all aspects of fixed operations and promotional campaigns. • Must be able to work independently. • Must be able to handle multiple tasks. • Exhibit creativity and initiative. • Possess excellent speaking, writing, interpersonal, time management and organizational skills. • Call center experience preferred Education: Level of education needed to successfully accomplish the essential duties of this job. High School Diploma (GED) Supervision Received: Level of supervision that this position receives from their supervisor. Direction: receive guidance with respect to general objectives; work independently in the majority of tasks and projects assigned, determine methods, work sequence, scheduling, and how to achieve objectives of assignments; operate within specific policy guidelines. Working Conditions: • Capable of working some evenings and weekends
