Vikings Picked Second in MSFA Midwest League
The Grand View University football team was selected to finish second in the Midwest League by the Mid-States Football Association. The Vikings received 50 votes, including one first-place vote.
The Vikings were 8-3 overall last season, including a 6-1 mark in Mid-States Football Association Midwest League play.
McKendree University, last season's conference champions, are picked to repeat again this season. The Bearcats received 55 votes and five first-place votes to take the top spot in the pre-season poll. Saint Ambrose University also received one first-place vote to finish in a second-place tie with the Vikings.
Rounding out the pre-season poll was William Penn with 41 votes, followed by Quincy, Saint Francis, Iowa Wesleyan and Waldorf, respectively.
Head Coach Mike Woodley and his Vikings football team open the season on August 28th at home against Black Hills State University. Kickoff is set for 1:00 pm at Williams Stadium.
