2012 Grand View University Commencement and Baccalaureate
Academic Hooding and Baccalaureate: April 28, 10:30 a.m.
St. John’s Lutheran Church
600 6th Avenue, downtown Des Moines.
Academic Hooding & Baccalaureate is the second major ceremonial event on the commencement calendar. It is the occasion at which graduating seniors receive their academic hoods, and the University acknowledges its religious heritage. Academic hoods, which will be worn at commencement, will be awarded at this ceremony.
Graduates will meet in the basement of the church and line up, in academic attire, at 10:00 a.m. for the processional.
***Remember: Academic attire will not be available for pick up at this ceremony. You must pick up your cap, gown, and hood in the GV Bookstore by 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 27.
