Grand View Graduates Succeed

return

Grand View’s Class of 2011-2012 recorded great success in pursuing their career goals in the job market or entering graduate school. The graduates reporting employment, further study, or not seeking employment represented 98% of the graduating class, discounting 33 graduates who declined participation in the survey.

The top employers of the class were Iowa Health Systems, Mercy Medical Center, Wells Fargo, Des Moines Public Schools, Youth Emergency Shelter & Services, Nationwide, Grand View University, Veteran’s Administration, Principal Financial Group, Aviva, Pioneer Hi-Bred, International, and Meredith Corporation.

Most of the Class of 2011-2012 stayed in Iowa after graduation, particularly within the Des Moines metropolitan area. There were, however, twenty-nine (29) or 6% of the graduates who moved to other states or out of the country. Among the graduates moving out of Iowa, 19 left for employment, and 10 were pursuing further education.

Conducted annually by the University’s Office of Career Services, the personalized survey provides a “snapshot” in time in the lifelong career development of graduates.
