Central Iowa Flute Workshop

Student Center, Grand View University, Des Moines

Join us for an exciting day of flute playing and presentations! This event will highlight the many opportunities we have as flutists to perform, teach, and create while making wonderful friendships and connections along the way.

This event is open to all middle school, high school, college and community musicians. The registration deadline is Wednesday, February 26, 2020 and the event registration is only $35, which includes lunch.

Workshop includes:
- Mass flute choir rehearsals
- Culminating final performance
- Performing for two world-class doctors of flute
- Experiment with alto, bass and contra bass flute
- Browse flutes for sale
- Sign read chamber music alongside professional musicians
- Learn about posture, breathing, tone production and scale practice
- Attend two concerts full of flute music

- Daniel Velasco
