Grand View to Offer Free Kidney Screenings

September 8, 2016

On September 30, 2016 at Grand View University, the National Kidney Association in coordination with Grand View University's School of Nursing Sciences, will be holding a free anonymous medical screening for Kidney Disease Awareness and Prevention from 12:00-3:00 p.m. All are welcome. No appointments needed.

One in nine American adults—more than 26 million people—have kidney disease and another 20 million are at risk. Kidney disease is the 9th leading cause of death in the U.S., causing more deaths than breast cancer or prostate cancer each year.

The entire process takes approximately 30 minutes for participants to complete. All individuals that receive screening services will walk away with a free private record of their visit for their personal healthcare provider. All medical issues discovered by the screening staff will be addressed on site.
