Paraeducator to Teacher Program at Grand View University

Grand View University is committed to excellence in teacher training. We are working to address the teacher shortage, increase diversity in the teaching population, and help education by increasing pathways for teacher certification.

We are partnering with districts to assist paraeducators who want to obtain a Bachelor’s degree and teaching license. As part of this program, you can design your own schedule to suit your personal situation - including evening and summer options.

If you need your paraeducator certificate to participate in the grant you have until March 2023 to obtain it. Three of our courses EDUC 111, 280, and 342 will count toward the paraeducator certificate and toward our education program.

If you have any questions or would like additional information, please contact Ginger Hermon (
