Meet Our Campus Pastor's Staff

Pastor LackeyRussell Lackey, Sr. Campus Pastor
The Reverend Russell Lackey has been the Senior Campus Pastor at Grand View since spring of 2012.  As Campus Pastor, he is responsible for organizing the university’s chapel program, mentoring student ministry leaders, and encouraging every person in the Grand View community with the love of Christ.  In addition, Russ is the Sr. Pastor at Luther Memorial Church.   

Russ served Reformation Lutheran Church in Westminster, CA, from 2001 until his appointment to Grand view.  Russ has worked in youth ministry as a youth director, camp counselor, confirmation teacher, and resident assistant.  He has also spoken at numerous mission, evangelism, and youth conferences.  

Russ Lackey earned his bachelor’s degree from Westmont College in 1997 and his masters of divinity from Luther Seminary in 2001.  He and his wife, Jamie, have three daughters: Abby, Sydney, and Brenna.
 

Kate GlenneyAlex Krumm, Director of Student Ministries
Alex Krumm started working as the Director of Student Ministries at Grand View University in August of 2014.  His responsibilities include overseeing the Student Ministry Team and worship on campus, discipling students, as well as promoting Campus Ministry.  You might recognize Alex’s last name, as the Krumm Center on campus was named after his grandfather. 

Alex grew up in Ames, IA and graduated from Wartburg College in 2010 with a degree in English Secondary Education.  Before coming to Grand View, Alex worked at Riverside Lutheran Bible Camp as the Associate Program Coordinator.  Alex is married to his wife Sarah.  
 

Kate Glenney, Administrative Assistant - Luther Memorial Church & Sr. Campus Pastor
Kate Glenney is the Administrative Assistant – Luther Memorial Church & Sr. Campus Pastor.  She serves the partnership between Grand View and Luther Memorial church by assisting the Sr. Campus Pastor, providing office management, and administrating special projects.  

Originally from Muscatine, IA, Kate graduated from Wartburg College in 2012 with a Bachelor's degree in Religion and has also studied vocal performance for many years.  She most recently has held a campus ministry position at Grand View University.  Kate currently lives in Ames, IA.  In her free time, Kate enjoys reading, exercising, being involved in local fine arts, learning, and traveling.

Angie Larson, Director of Peer Ministry
Angie Larson serves as the Director of Peer Ministry Leadership at Grand View. As the director, she is responsible for overseeing, training, and equipping students trained in Peer Ministry. Peer Ministry Leadership is a ministry of befriending, caring, listening, and inviting others.

Angie is an alumna of Grand View, receiving her degree in religion and human services in 1999. Angie has worked in youth ministry in Clive, IA and North Cape, WI.  She is on the ELCA roster as an Associate in Ministry and is currently seeking a master’s degree in child, youth, and family ministry from Luther Seminary.  Angie and her husband Ryan have four children: Chase, Mackenzie, Sawyer, and Skyler.  Angie enjoys camping, running, volunteering, and spending time with her family.
