I am the director of admissions and a native of Des Moines. I've worked in the college admissions field for more than 13 years. Since 2003, I have worked at Drake University as the senior assistant director of admissions. I am passionate about higher education and helping students and their families navigate the college search process. I also have family connections to Grand View: my son is a sophomore and my mother and sister are Grand View graduates. I attended high school in Tucson, Ariz., and received my bachelor's degree from Iowa State University. I enjoy playing sports, fly fishing and spending time with my family.

Welcome to Grand View! I'm a freshman admissions counselor, working with students from Southeast Polk High School, Northeast Iowa and Jasper County. I started working at GV in 2002 and I can honestly say I LOVE IT HERE! I am originally from a small town (Iowa Falls) and from the very beginning Grand View felt like a place I could call home. I love working in admissions because I get to help students, like yourself, with one the most important decisions you’ll ever make. I take my role very seriously, and I hope I can help you with any questions you may have about Grand View! I can tell you one thing for sure...you need to come check us out and see what it means to “Do the View!”
Tina Miranda, Assistant Director of Admissions
I work with incoming freshman from Southwest Iowa, local Des Moines area schools (Ankeny, Ankeny Centennial, Lincoln, Hoover, Woodward, Johnston, and Grandview Christian School), as well as the rest of the U.S. I started working at Grand View in July 2007 and I love it here. It is very rewarding to meet with prospective students and help them through the college search process. I love seeing students come to campus and take full advantage of what Grand View has to offer both in and out of the classroom. The people at Grand View are truly interested and invested in the success of each individual student on campus. I hope you have the opportunity to visit us soon! GO VIKINGS!
Mackenzie Bourke, Freshman Admissions Counselor
Hi! I am an admissions counselor and work with incoming freshman from Northwest Iowa, Texas, and local Des Moines area high schools. I graduated from Grand View in 2012 with a degree in business administration with concentrations in management, marketing and human resources. During college, I was an athlete on the women’s golf team and worked on many student leadership teams. I valued working with the professors who loved to see me succeed and dealing with faculty who encouraged me to do my best. One the biggest reasons I decided to work at Grand View is because of the people. They are friendly, genuine, and welcoming. The admissions staff is wonderful and I enjoy helping students make the high school to college transition. Please come visit our campus and see what we can offer you! GO VIKINGS!!

I am a 2004 graduate of Grand View, where I received degrees in broadcasting and mass communication. I loved every minute of college while I was studying at Grand View, and knew early on that I'd love to work here and help others have a similar experience. Plus it's a very rewarding job; I get to help people achieve their goals of getting a college education. Go Vikings!

Thank you for your interest in Grand View! As a private college graduate, I can promise you attending Grand View University will be the best years of your college journey. The campus, students, faculty and staff will embrace you as family and the memories you’ll make will become your most treasured. I had an amazing college experience by attending a private college--having that personal attention and encouragement to grow spiritually, mentally and professionally made my college journey priceless. My passion for education and working with young minds has allowed me to work in the field of admissions since 1994. I have had the pleasure to work in enrollment in all age groups (private elementary through college). I also have to the privilege to coach high school cheerleading at Saydel High School. My two amazing children (15 and 12) keep my heart busy and full of life. I look forward to working with you and I’m honored to be a part of your college journey. Welcome to Grand View...welcome home!

Hello and welcome to Grand View! I am a Des Moines native and a 2013 Grand View grad with a degree in English. During my undergrad, I spent a summer studying abroad in Florence, Italy. My husband and I live in the Beaverdale area with our four cats. I enjoy traveling, cooking, reading, and music. One of my favorite things about Grand View was and continues to be the smaller, more intimate class sizes which help to foster close relationships with professors and faculty. Go Vikings!
