"Seventeen Minutes" Art Exhibit and Gallery Show
“Seventeen minutes. That’s how long it takes to decide if a man should live or die,” says Joseph de Rocher in Dead Man Walking. Artists use their individual talents to pass on and revise history, persuade observers to a point of view, and invent new ways of portraying shared human values. The power and intensity behind this line of text from Dead Man Walking will be represented in exclusively visual terms by GV art students in this exhibit of art and images. Selected works will be on display at the Blank Performing Arts Center during the DMMO Summer Festival Season. The art exhibit is being organized by Mary Jones, professor of art.
