Job Description:
Job Summary: The main responsibility of this position is to gather payroll information and present it in a professional manner for the client. Also to provide a high level of customer service to 100+ Sheakley PaySystems clients by producing accurate and timely payrolls, resolving issues and providing requested information. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: 1. Distribution a. Gather reports and checks from printers i. Follow instructions and put information into a presentable package for the client ii. Ability to stand for long periods of time b. Create checklists and UPS labels for outgoing packages 2. Payroll Input a. Data entry of faxed payroll information b. Excel in acquiring knowledge of Evolution software system c. Keying payrolls in a timely fashion to keep production moving quickly
Job Qualifications:
1. Education and Experience a. High School Diploma required b. Minimum 2 year Associate’s Degree preferred (currently enrolled in college encouraged to apply) c. Several years prior office with payroll, accounting or client services experience preferred. i. Understanding taxable earnings, payroll taxes, time off accrual concepts & benefits 2. Skills, Specialized Knowledge and Abilities a. Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality b. Organization, attention to detail, flexibility and strong ability to multi-task c. Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills d. General computer/proficient keying skills e. A strong math aptitude/ability to problem solve f. Ability to work without direct supervision and demonstrate considerable initiative 3. Physical & Mental Demands a. Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time b. Reliable/punctual c. Team player, supportive and helpful with staff & clients
