Get to Know: University of Iowa Healthcare – Iowa Institute of Human Genetics / Applying to Genetic Counseling Graduate Programs

The Grand View University Career Center is pleased to announce that the Iowa Institute of Human Genetics is hosting an informational event on the Future of Personalized Genomic Medicine: Applying to Genetic Counseling Graduate Programs. During this event, a panel of genetic counselors from around the state will speak about their experience applying to genetic counseling training programs, their daily activities, as well as their role in personalized genomic medicine. This opportunity is a great way for students to discuss first-hand the application process, job growth and ask questions in a small group setting.

Get to Know: Des Moines University Medicine & Health Sciences

Many Grand View graduates pursue their advanced degrees/doctoral studies in the Health Sciences at DMU.  We are grateful for this opportunity to promote their upcoming “Creating Opportunities: At A Glance” sessions.  Join a virtual overview of Des Moines University’s graduate programs! Creating Opportunities: At A Glance events present a virtual opportunity to learn more about DMU beyond what’s on the website. Get to Know: Mainstream Living Webinar

Wednesday, September 23 | Time: 1:00 p.m. | Virtual Event (Zoom)

Mainstream Living is committed to enhancing opportunities, creating success, and fulfilling dreams for our adults with disabilities and mental illness. We provide housing, medical, employment, and a variety of other supports in a number of locations in Central Iowa. Our Direct Support Professionals, who provide daily support to our adults in home and community based settings, are our highest need. This position is an opportunity to make a positive impact on someone's life, from ensuring dignity to empowering goal achievement. More details coming soon.
