What does freedom mean to you? Students, staff, and faculty can come to the library to share their definition of freedom in the Constitution Day Photo Booth. Take individual or group photos holding your definition of freedom. The library will provide everything you need; just bring yourself and your personal definition of freedom. Photos may even be featured on the Library’s Facebook page!

Author and activist Rekha Basu will be reading from her new book "Finding Her Voice: A Collection of Des Moines Register Columns about Women's Struggles and Triumphs of the Midwest." Basu will also take questions and talk to guests at a reception to follow the event. Copies of the book will be for sale and she will be signing copies.
