Professors from South Sudan to Visit Grand View
Three professors from the University of Juba in South Sudan are coming to Iowa over the next couple of weeks. They are all involved in curriculum development work in the Department of Education. They are:
Dr. Sirisio Louis Oromo, Ms. Cecilia Andrea Apaya, and
Mr. Laku Wani Ladu Nyarsuk.
The educators will be in Des Moines on Friday, August 13. They will be visiting Grand View and will have a tour of the University as well as meet with the education faculty on curriculum related endeavors. The professors are here working with IRIS and Iowa State University on secondary school curriculum development that incorporates peace education into standard curricula in Sudan.
