I’m Gonna Jazz My Way: The Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald Story Told in Song
Sunday, February 19 • 3:00 p.m.
Student Center, Viking Theatre
The nine-piece Ballyhoo Foxtrot Orchestra recreates the music of the 1910s and 20s. In “I’m Gonna Jazz My Way,” the Orchestra celebrates the lives of F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald. F. Scott Fitzgerald is remembered today as the author of the classic American novel, The Great Gatsby (1925). During the 1920s, however, he and his wife Zelda were more famous for their flapper lifestyle, which to many observers epitomized the spirit of the Jazz Age. The Orchestra traces the arcs of these two remarkable lives in a program of narration and song.
