Grand View University honor students unveiled ALT Vol. 6 at 7:30 p.m. March 30 at the Science Center of Iowa.  ALT, short for alternative, is an annual publication created by 10 Grand View University students. Each year, students spend nine months gathering ideas and building a magazine from scratch to showcase their talents.

Alternatively written for the young professional, its open-minded perspective of Des Moines is focused on the individual seeking an unparalleled experience. The magazine features an in-depth look on the city we know and love, introduces readers to the outdoor treasure hunting game known as geocaching and showcases some of Des Moines’ finest artists and locations.

Editor-In-Chief Nicole Barreca said, “This year our goal was to create a magazine that really catches the eye of our reader. We strived for unique topics, writing, design and photography to make our publication the best in the area. Every page is a story in itself.”
