Job Description:: Responsible to: Program Manager / Village Leader Responsibilities: 1. Responsible for all equipment/materials related to the recreation area. 2. Responsible for checking swing set or playground equipment daily for any damage or alteration that would make it unsafe for individuals to use. 3. Provide materials, instructions and supervision to and staff in recreation activities. 4. Motivate groups to participate by adapting activities so that activities can be enjoyed by all vacationers. 5. Communicate regularly with counselors to learn of strengths and weaknesses of each group so plans can be made accordingly. 6. Carry out duties and responsibilities listed for program staff. 7. Lead and assist the activities with the initiatives high/low ropes course. 8. Assist in the inspection and maintenance of ropes course events. Responsible for maintaining accurate records on the inspection results, rope usage, and incidents/accidents/near misses on the necessary forms 9. Experiment with a wide range of recreational activities so new activities may be added to the Activity File. 10. Share responsibility of driving hayride. 11. Responsible for the archery program and meeting ACA standards in target sports, regarding archery. 12. To perform any miscellaneous duties as requested by the administrative staff. Dates: Dec 26-31 and/or Jan 3-8

Job Qualifications:: Job Requirements: The Recreation Leader should be a college student or graduate in recreation or related field. Experience with individuals with developmental or physical disabilities is helpful. Will possibly complete ropes course training and become a certified instructor of Archery though the National Archery Association. CRP and First Aid Certified required.
