Job Description:
We are an after school program that serves the children and families of Sacred Heart School, in West Des Moines. The children's ages range from 4 to 12 years old. We are looking for individuals that can be good role models for the children that they are interacting with. Must be energetic and motivated. The duties would include, but not be limited to, planning and executing games and activities ensuring the safety and integrity of the children. The hours would be from 2:30 PM-6 PM Monday through Friday and may very, but does not include weekends. Apply even if you are available only a few days a week. We are also looking for someone who has availability during the day especially on Wednesdays. Additional hours are available on non school days. We also have a full time summer day camp!
Job Qualifications:
Required Skills: 1. Care for and respect of school age children with different needs and abilities. 2. The ability to relate well with school age children; meeting the developmental needs of the children by implementing the program activities that encourage good character. 3. Ability to accept and complete responsibilities in a timely and effective manner. 4. Ability to serve as a positive role model to students. 5. Must have good communication skills. 6. Must be dependable. Certifications: 1. Current Mandatory Reporters of Child Abuse Certification (within the first month of employment) 2. Current First Aide and CPR certification required. (within the first month of employment)
