Job Description:
Support the development of strategic and tactical marketing plans across public relations, web presence and social media, marketing campaigns, advertisements, etc. Set and maintain social media accounts and daily activity. Coordinate the marketing and events calendar with online activity. Partner with other departments to ensure proper online messaging and relevancy. Prepare reports to update internal staff on marketing statistics. Develop content for posting on all designated media outlets. Monitor online competitor presences/perceptions. Research new channels for relevance/trend identification. Run marketing programs generating leads for a direct sales team and a partner sales team.
Job Qualifications:
Candidates are required to be enrolled in an undergraduate program with intent to pursue a degree in marketing, advertising or journalism. Candidate should be at least a junior in the field of study. Candidates are required to have a GPA of at least 3.5. Candidate should be a talented writer with both strong written and oral communications skills, with an emphasis on grammar/spelling excellence. Candidate should have a passion and solid understanding of the social media universe, including Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, Flickr, StumbleUpon, Delicious, Digg, reddit, forums, wikis, blogs, etc. Candidate should possess a strong willingness to learn in a collaborative start-up environment with seasoned executives. Candidate should be detail oriented, technologically savvy, and comfortable with Microsoft Products – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and video creation software. Candidate must possess the ability to multi-task to capitalize on various marketing opportunities that may arise. Candidate must bring to the position outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Candidate must have ability to communicate results to management and in a fast paced environment. Candidate must be eager to meet and exceed objectives.
