Looking for a job that makes a difference? LSI currently seeks Respite Providers to provide respite care in Des Moines and the surrounding areas. The purpose of respite care is to give the parent or primary caregiver a break from the daily responsibilities of caring for someone with a disability. We have a variety of respite provider schedules available including early morning, afternoon and/or evening hours. We also have clients needing overnight or weekend respite. Schedule can be very flexible as we allow employees to match their schedule with families. This position provides all care required to a child or adult with a disability while their parent or guardian is absent, while maintaining a safe and nurturing home-based environment. Special consideration may be given to applicants who are requested by the client or their family.
Job Qualifications:
While this would be great work experience for students in the health & human services field, we are open to any applicant that enjoy working with children.
