Grand View Announces Dr. Todd Knealing as Academic Dean

Grand View University is pleased to announce Dr. Todd Knealing as Academic Dean. Dr. Knealing comes to Grand View from Briar Cliff University where he is currently serving as Provost and Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs. Dr. Knealing will begin his appointment on July 1, 2023.

Dr. Knealing oversees the academic operations of the University, including academic programs and faculty recruitment. He has served as director of the Center for Enhancement of Learning and Teaching (CELT), chaired the school of undergraduate studies, was a member of the strategic leadership team, and taught psychology at BCU for 10 years.

President Rachelle Keck says, “Having worked with Dr. Knealing for more than five years at Briar Cliff, I am thrilled to welcome him to Grand View University. His strong work ethic, deep knowledge of independent higher education, and understanding of growth and innovation will be an incredible asset to our institution.

Prior to Briar Cliff, Knealing taught graduate courses at St. Cloud State University and West Virginia University. He has served on multiple committees and has extensive experience in consulting, strategic planning and fundraising.
