Leadership Opportunities

We want to help make your experience the best it can be. In residence life, you’ll find many leadership opportunities available to you at Grand View. See below for a list of options.

Resident Assistants (RA)

RAs are upper-class students who work with residents by planning programs, becoming mentors and friends, and instructing residents about community standards. To learn more about becoming an RA, contact Robert Patterson.

Each Resident Assistant is responsible for creating seven programs per semester to create a fun and appealing atmosphere for the residents. Programs have included: community grill outs, bubble soccer, movie nights, pumpkin painting and more!

Residential Experience Council (REC)

Members plan large campus-wide activities for residential students to interact and enjoy. To learn more about becoming a REC member, contact Jori Van Beek.

The council offers several campus events that have become tradition for our students. These include bingo, kickball, and sand volleyball. The events often feature music, food, and prizes!
