Tuition Exchange

Grand View University participates in the following three tuition exchange programs:

CIC Tuition Exchange Program
Grand View University is a participating member of the Council of Independent Colleges Tuition Exchange Program (CIC-TEP). CIC-TEP is a network of CIC colleges and universities willing to accept, tuition-free, students from families of full-time employees of other CIC-TEP institutions. Through this program, Grand View University will offer three tuition awards each year to new undergraduate students. Note: Room and board, lab fees, and other University fees are not covered. The Tuition Exchange Program awards are available to students for eight semesters.
ELCA Tuition Exchange Program
Grand View University is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and is one of the 26 member colleges and universities willing to accept, tuition-free, students from families of full-time employees of other ELCA member institutions.
Tuition Exchange Program
Grand View University is a participating member of Tuition Exchange, Inc. The Tuition Exchange is a network of more than 600 private colleges and universities willing to offer tuition “scholarships” to dependent children of families of qualifying employees of member institutions. Tuition Exchange, Inc. requires that participating institutions balance the number of students exported with the number of students imported.

Application Process

Your parent must complete an application with their Human Resources department at your home institution; Grand View University does not require any separate paperwork. Once your institution approves your application, Grand View will be notified of your eligibility.

You must also apply for admission to Grand View. All tuition exchange decisions will be made no later than March 1, at which time your financial aid package may be adjusted.

Impact on Financial Aid

  • Grand View requires new and returning students to file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year to be eligible for any of the tuition exchange programs. For the upcoming year, the appropriate FAFSA should be completed by October 1st.
  • Tuition exchange awards supersede previously awarded institutional funds. Your tuition exchange award will be reduced by any federal, state or any outside tuition specific awards that you receive.
  • You will be required to live on campus during any term for which you are receiving tuition exchange benefits at Grand View University.
