Michael Bidwill joined the Cardinals in 1996 after six years as a federal prosecutor in Phoenix. Karen Doty, adjunct art and design faculty, selected as an Emerging Artist for the Des Moines Arts Festival.
The Emerging Artist section is reserved for students, however one is able to apply as an Emerging Artist up to one year after graduation. Doty graduated from Iowa State University with an MFA in Graphic Design and Human Computer Interaction Certificate in 2015.
