Job Description:
The Blank Park Zoo is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Summer Safari Counselor to teach our summer camps. Responsibilities include: • Instructs students attending our camp • Communicates with parents on a daily basis • Develops curriculum used in camp • Order and prepares all materials necessary for instruction • Conducts guided tours of the Zoo • Undertakes special projects and duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
Applicants must be 18 years or older and preference will be given to students currently enrolled in, or graduated from a college or university majoring in education, environmental interpretation, theater, biology, zoology, psychology or related field. The position begins mid-May and ends mid-August. Hours are Monday – Friday and vary from 7:00am – 6:00pm.
