Team Leaders Team Leader: This person will be responsible for assisting the Service Coordinator in providing high quality residential services to clients in the community. This position is primarily being the lead staff in providing direct support to clients in the community but includes some administrative and leadership duties, including preparing reports, communication with other staff and involved parties, and training of new staff, oversight of medication and health supports. Team Leaders will be responsible for being the lead staff in one of our sites working with individuals with Intellectual, Brain Injury, and/or Mental Health disabilities in their own homes, providing community based services and supports to help our clients live independently! Job Qualifications:
Qualifications include: ? High School Diploma/GED to work within Intellectual Disabilities/Brain Injury Department; Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience to work within Habilitation Department. ? Flexibility to work occasional weekends/ other shifts as needed ? Strong leadership skills ? Ability to take initiative, work independently, and be a team player ? Excellent attention to detail ? Excellent conflict resolution skills ? Experience with persons with disabilities ? Excellent teaching, motivation skills, very positive and creative ? Good communication skills at all levels, including clients, parents, and staff ? Ability to develop rapport with clients, parents and guardians All applicants must be able to pass an extensive background check including a criminal history check and checks of the Sex Offender and Dependent Adult and Child Abuse Registries. All applicants must possess a good driving record, a working vehicle and auto insurance. All applicants will be required to attend 5 consecutive, full days of training prior to working at Candeo.
