Job Description:
Overview: We will be hiring multiple interns to help us fill needs in our IT department. Roles will range from technical roles where coding and design will be the primary accountabilities, to associate project manager and technical business analysis positions. All roles will report into IT and work with our various internal business areas to execute projects using Wellmark’s project management methodology. Some of the roles will include: Software Developer – Primary accountabilities will be coding and design, assisting developers with project work. Will involve working with internal business areas on use of applications, document application process flows, retire and decommission unused applications. Associate Business Systems Analyst – Primary accountabilities will be assisting BSA’s with project work, serving as a liaison role between business units and IT to understand business functions, processes, challenges and opportunities. Also accountable to elicit, analyze, model and document requirements for cross functional solutions and support of existing solutions. Also works with project teams to develop scenarios for testing, test execution and test tracking. Associate Project Manager – Primary accountabilities will be assisting Project Managers with project assignments, support and follow the IT software development lifecycle (SDLC), and work collaboratively within IT and business units to achieve the stated objectives, measureable goals, and deliverables of these projects These internships will start in May of 2014. Required Qualifications: • Junior, senior or graduate level student in MIS, CIS, business or related program • Highly confident in Microsoft office programs including Excel and Word • Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively work with the business areas • For technical roles, completed coursework in coding languages will be required Preferred Qualifications: • Previous office or internship experience • Knowledge or experience working with Microsoft Project
