Updates

Important Information

For Students

Campus housing – Grand View is disappointed that we are unable to resume in-person classes this semester.  However, campus housing and dining services will remain open for those who need it. We recognize that, for many of our students, campus housing is their primary residence. We highly encourage those who have no need to remain on campus to return to their primary residence. We realize there are many financial implications to this decision and are working on understanding the scope of the impact on families. Our first priority is to work with our housing staff and food service provider to make sure we are prepared to meet the needs of those who must remain on campus. For those who will not return to campus, we ask for your patience as we work through myriad details. We will have more information in the coming days.

For Faculty & Staff

Updates will become available throughout the coming days.

For Athletes

Athletics – The NAIA has cancelled all winter national championship events and all spring 2020 sport seasons. For more details, click here.

For Visitors

High school students visiting campus – Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Grand View University is practicing social distancing. The Admissions Office is only scheduling virtual campus visits until April 6. We will be monitoring the situation and will communicate with you when we are able to resume on-campus visits.

Effective immediately, we are offering virtual campus visits for the class of 2020! If you are currently a senior in High School or looking to transfer to Grand View this fall you have the option to visit with an admissions counselor and other departments via ZOOM or Facetime and take a virtual campus tour. If you are looking to enroll as a first year student or transfer student beyond Fall 2020, please wait for us to resume on campus visits before scheduling.  We appreciate your patience and flexibility during this time.

If you have questions please contact our admissions office at admissions@grandview.edu, (515) 263-2810 or (800) 444-6083, Ext. 2810.

Group meetings & outside visitors – During the COVID-19 outbreak, we have updated our social distancing model. We are not currently hosting any group events.

Starting Monday, March 23, administrative offices will be open to assist you. To protect your health and that of others, however, the doors to offices will be locked, but staff members will be present to assist you. Each office will have a phone number listed on a sign that you can call for assistance. A staff member will ask if you are experiencing symptoms associated with COVID-19 and a few other questions. If you are feeling well and have a low risk of exposure, staff will be able to meet with you in person as necessary.

Also, we ask that if you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms (fever, cough, difficulty breathing) that you not enter any campus building.
