Mentor Coaching Seminar

Grand View University - Rasmussen Center, Room 120 - 2800 E. 14th St., Des Moines, Iowa 50316

Join us for a morning of coaching training on Saturday, January 9 from 8:30 a.m. - Noon.

You have probably heard the word "mentor" and "coach" talked about from time to time. You may have even experienced some sort of mentoring or coaching in your life. You may have some questions about what mentoring and/or coaching are. You are not alone! There is a lot of confusion about mentoring and coaching. What are they, really? This interactive seminar is designed to help clarify this question by defining, comparing, and contrasting the concepts, describing what healthy mentoring and coaching looks like, discussing the concept of discovery learning, and practicing fundamental "active listening" skills for effective mentoring and coaching. This seminar is from 8:30 a.m. until Noon.

The seminar will be facilitated by Dr. Paul Leavenworth, adjunct instructor in the MSOL graduate program at Grand View University and his coaching mentor team.

Registration is $20 for seminar materials and coffee service at the event. Each seminar is limited to no more than sixteen participants.

If you have any questions about the seminar, please contact Paul Leavenworth at pleavenworth@grandview.edu or Rick Eftink at reftink@grandview.edu.
