Summer Dance Prep Clinic (Grades 6-8 & 9-12)

Location: Johnson Wellness Center (1500 Morton Ave, Des Moines, IA 50316)

Thursday, July 23

10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Option 1: Grades 6-8

Dancers will rotate through stations covering combinations in pom, jazz, and hip hop, plus technique classes focused on turns and leaps. Open to dancers entering 6th–8th grade for fall 2026.

Option 2: Grades 9-12

A prep clinic for high school dance team and beyond. Includes warm-up, specialty technique, jazz/pom/hip hop combinations, gameday and spirit-raising preparation, and leadership training. Open to dancers entering 9th–12th grade for fall 2026.

Cost: $75 (lunch and T-shirt included)

What to Wear & Bring

  • Fitted athletic clothing
  • Dance shoes and/or tennis shoes
  • Water bottle
