Dr. Bonnie Hall Published

Dr. Bonnie Hall, Director of Faculty Advising and Associate Professor of Chemistry at Grand View, had an article published this spring: “Deacylcortivazol-like pyrazole regioisomers reveal a more accommodating expanded binding pocket for the glucocorticoid receptor." This was a collaboration that began when she participated in the FUTURES in Biomedicine program, which connects faculty at teaching schools to research faculty at the University of Iowa. Hall spent the summer working in the lab of Dr. Miles Pufall, with some of that work resulting in this publication about designing new anti-inflammatory compounds that target the glucocorticoid receptor. The article can be viewed here.
