Faces of Bravery, Honors Magazine Unveiling, Immersive Stories of Incredible Courage
April 6, 2016
When you think of bravery you might imagine superheroes, soldiers or firefighters. While these are all certain examples of bravery, people conquer their obstacles with courage and bravery every day — often in unexpected ways. On April 12, you are invited to come experience these stories and meet these everyday heroes in person. You’ll hear from a 16-year-old refugee who is transitioning from life in a Thai refugee camp to life as an American high school student. You’ll also hear the stories of a woman who was at the finish line of the Boston Marathon when two bombs exploded three years ago, and a paralyzed, former football star who beat the odds one step at a time. For more stories of uncommon bravery, pick up a copy of the first issue of Bonfire magazine.
