Grand View University to Host Business Horizons 2026

January 25, 2026

Grand View University is proud to announce it will host the 2026 Business Horizons summer program, welcoming Iowa high school students in grades 9-12 to campus July 19-23, 2026. Now in its 43rd year, Business Horizons offers a weeklong, immersive experience focused on entrepreneurship, leadership, and innovation.

During the program, students work in teams to develop an original product or service, build a business around their idea, and pitch it to industry professionals. Participants gain hands-on experience in critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving while learning what it takes to bring an idea from concept to launch.

The week concludes with live competitions, including business pitches, infomercials, and a trade show judged by Iowa business leaders. Students also take part in leadership activities, tours of local businesses, mentoring sessions, and college-style residential living, along with social events designed to build confidence and lasting connections.

“We are excited to host Business Horizons on Grand View University’s campus,” said Meg Schneider, vice president of strategic initiatives. “This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to student success, community engagement, and expanding access to high-impact, hands-on learning experiences.”

The program cost is $650 and includes meals, lodging, activities, and materials. An early bird rate of $475 is available for students who register by June 7. Need-based financial assistance is available. Registration is open through July 5 or until the program is filled.
