The Dinosaur Play

February 14, 2019

The Grand View Theatre Department is proud to present, The Dinosaur Play ~ an interactive play for young people and families, by Steve and Kathy Hotchner. This family show is FREE for all to enjoy!

In The Dinosaur Play, the audience is transported back millions and millions of years ago, to a time when dinosaurs roamed the planet.  A lone dinosaur egg needs help and taps out clues for the children to interpret. Guided by an early human (named, aptly, Mammal), a gruff Triceratops, and sweet Brontosaurus, the children help this lone egg hatch and find her family. The children also help to protect the new dinosaur baby from a lurking, hungry Tyrannosaurus Rex and from a dangerous earthquake.  In the midst of all of this action, the team also help convince Brontosaurus to adopt this baby who is not her own, and there is an endearing message about different ways of creating and defining families
