Mathematics Minor

The Minor in Mathematics is designed to enable a student with a significant interest in Mathematics to deepen his/her knowledge while pursuing a concentration in another field. While the concentration will often be in a field which makes significant use of mathematics, such as a science or a quantitative social science, it may be in any area of study.

With a bachelor's-level liberal arts degree and a minor in math, you could be well positioned for careers in a broad range of fields, including finance, mathematics, business and sales.

Please note: Given the cumulative character of mathematics preparation, students earning grades of C or below in previous mathematics courses are advised not to pursue the minor.

Mathematics Minor (22 credits)

MATH 231 Calculus with Analytic Geometry I 5 credits
MATH 232 Calculus with Analytics Geometry II 5 credits
STAT 261 Applied Statistics 3 credits
MATH 300 Introduction to Mathematical Reasoning 3 credits
MATH 331 Linear Algebra 3 credits
One additional mathematics course of 300 level or higher. 3-4 credits
