Bonfire Magazine Named Finalist in National Competition

Bonfire Design SpreadsCongratulations to Bonfire Magazine and the 2015-16 staff  for being selected as a finalist in three categories of the National College Media Association's Pinnacle Awards competition. Bonfire was recently named one of three finalists in each of the following categories: Best House Ad, Best Feature Spread and Best Sports Spread.

Bonfire is an annual publication created by Grand View University seniors in the honors magazine course. Everybody has a story, but not all stories have a place. At Bonfire, we seek out stories with the potential to be explosive — if only they had a match. We harness the power of words, images, sound and human interaction to give unconventional stories a place to not only exist but also endure. In doing so, we ignite a spark in the hearts of our audience that can spread like wildfire. Take a seat, listen in; gather around the Bonfire.

Overall winners will be announced at the CMA Fall National College Media Convention on Saturday, October 29.
