Social Work Students Spend Day at the Capitol
March 21, 2024
Social work students from Social Welfare Policy and Practice prepared for a day at the capitol by researching bills under consideration, developing a fact sheet, and practicing how to approach legislators with how they should vote on each bill. Students examine issues such as provision of behavioral health resource coordinators or mental health professionals in schools, development of a state training schools for females, and allowing volunteer chaplains in public schools.
